I'm still trying to figure out how the modeling is done so precisely. Much easier to fly than I would have ever guessed. I suppose I may be more of a single-engine WWII fighter guy, but I have to say this plane is an absolute joy. I'm new to X-Plane 11 - just received it the other day.

Have original flight manuals for BN2 and DHC1, can anyone recommend anything for the DC3. I will now have to view Joe McBryan’s guide to flying the Buffalo Airways Dak. My father took me up in a DC3 from RAF Newton in the ’50s but didn’t take much notice of airspeed! Now one of my XP favorites with the Nimbus BN2 Islander and the Thamsin DHC1 Chipmunk, on which I was an instructor. A delight to fly handles as I would expect it to, although I flew twin pistons in the 1970s never flew anything as big as a Dak. This must rate as one of the best freebies available. Well done Aeroworx, what an absolute cracker.

Does anyone know how to fix the chocks that appear when braking on Aeroworx C47? krose Sun, 12:05:29 GMT Much more enjoyable if you know the correct airspeed for most situations. It contains everything you need to know about flying the Dak, much of this info is irrelevant for X-plane use but has enabled me to fly the a/c in a more realistic way. previous post, have searched through my old books and have found an Air Ministry publication from Feb 1946, 'Pilots Notes for Dakota IV, with Twin Wasp R1830-90 Engines'. Wonderful aircraft! Will the other liveries in the pictures be available? Possibly with full-wheel cover doors? jimrandazzo Tue, 20:10:11 GMT

Getting good photographs is no problem, the crews flying and maintaining these aircraft are also extremely helpful in providing us with documentation, advice, etc. By comparison, X-Plane 11 has eight less, boasting a still respectable 22 different aviation vehicles, but still around a quarter less than its competitor. As members of the South African Airways Museum Society, we have direct access to their C-47 and also a few other DC-3/C-47's.
